Terms of Service
By creating an account at ANVLD ("the Service") you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short and plain-language. If anything here is unclear, email team@anvld.com.
What ANVLD is
ANVLD is an AI-powered training tool that helps Christians prepare for real conversations about their faith. It is a study aid, not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional theology, or personally formed conviction. AI responses, including coaching, can be mistaken; verify important claims against Scripture and trusted teachers.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login email secure. ANVLD uses magic-link sign-in, so anyone with access to your inbox can sign into your account. Don't share your account with others. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Free beta period
During the open beta, the Service is offered free of charge for a limited period (currently 8 weeks per account from sign-up). Continued access after that period requires a paid subscription. Beta access is a courtesy, not a guarantee; we may modify, suspend, or end the beta at any time. We will give reasonable notice in advance of any change that materially affects your access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to attack, harass, or demean any person or group
- Attempt to extract or redistribute the underlying corpus, prompts, or model outputs in bulk
- Use the Service to generate content for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes
- Probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the Service or its providers
We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or egregious violations. You can delete your account at any time by emailing team@anvld.com.
AI-generated content
Responses from ANVLD's AI models (Anthropic Claude, embeddings from Voyage AI) reflect probabilistic generation, not authoritative teaching. You are responsible for the use you make of these outputs. Verify Scripture references, quotations, and historical claims before relying on them in serious conversations.
Intellectual property
The corpus that informs the AI may include short, attributed excerpts from third-party works (books, articles) used under fair use as a private internal study tool. Authors and publishers may request removal of any work via our takedown policy. You retain ownership of conversations you create on the platform. You grant ANVLD a limited license to store and process those conversations to operate the Service.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or appropriate for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ANVLD's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (which during beta is $0). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-app notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
